Good Earth Day

As is slowly seeming to be the tradition, we did some planting of seeds this earth day.

We decided to do a little experiment, involving barefeet and breath

Since reading the Ringing Cedars of Russia series this winter,

HNH and I were eager to try Anastasia's seed planting technique

I'll let you know how it all turns out

I'm so excited to learn more about your newly adopted gardening techniques. Will check out the book. Do you use cold frames?? It's way too cold to plant directly outdoors here - we ususally have to wait until June (at least). Your garden boxes are great and remind me of my own - with the straw covering. :)
Happy Gardening SillyCon and family!!! :)

Thanks Lala, I start some of the seeds inside, but others I directly sow into the ground, I am also trying to follow the biodynamic calendar to do this.

I like the beds too, especially cause they used to be the front steps of my Mama's house..hee hee, repurposing at its best!

Oooh - too cold to be out barefoot around here! We wore winter coats to Easter service today, although it has warmed up to 13C now (55F). We likely won't be planting anything until the end of May - probably the Victoria Day weekend.
